CALL FOR PAPERS AUG 2026

The Managing Editor of the Eastern and Southern Africa Journal of Agricultural Economics and Development (JAED) is pleased to inform the JAED readership that the window for submission of manuscripts for consideration for publication in the JAED is now open.

Consistent with its policy, JAED welcomes submission of manuscripts for its next issue lined for publication in June 2022. The JAED coverage ranges from farm production to consumption applied to Eastern and Southern Africa with econometric estimation, optimization, simulation, policy reviews, and statistical hypotheses testing as preferred methodologies. The editor invites a wide range of contribution that provides new insights in terms of empirical, theoretical methodological, and practical problems. Submission of empirical works that can be tested by others is highly encouraged.

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process before they can be considered for publication in the JAED. Prior to subjecting the submitted manuscripts to review, they will be examined for originality. Manuscripts that will be accepted for publication shall be language-edited before
they can finally be published in the JAED.
